Job Title: Restitution Lead Crew Supervisor
Department: Restitution/Community Service Work Program
Reports To: Restitution Program Manager and Executive Director
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Salary Range: $36,341.78 – 39,384.44 plus benefits
(PTO, Sick-time, Health Insurance, IRA Match)
Driving Requirements: Minimal
Management: Non- Supervisory Responsibility
JOB SUMMARY:
This position is directly responsible for the daily operations of the Partners Restitution Program as it relates to functionality: vehicle and trailer maintenance, tool maintenance, community business and project completion. The Lead Work Crew Manager serves as the supporting supervisor for the Crew Supervisors and continuously works with the Lead Restitution Manager providing program supervision and oversight.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Schedule and plan monthly Work Program staff meetings in collaboration with Restitution Program Manager
- Jointly (with Restitution Program Manager) supervise Crew Supervisors, including hiring processes and providing input on annual employee reviews
- Schedule and coordinate work for crews with GMYSC staff and Restitution Program Manager
- Manage vehicle/trailer/tool maintenance by ensuring all are in safe and working conditions, and maintain daily vehicle/tool maintenance binders with receipts if applicable
- Schedule and manage contracts/jobs, including providing detailed work orders for crew supervisors
- Go out to jobs prior to the work crew to assess for additional needs, safety, etc., as needed
- Be constantly recruiting new contracts and customers for jobs for the work crews
- Work with Crew Supervisors to ensure that all jobs scheduled for the day are complete or in progress
- Supervision and training of Crew Supervisors so that job performance is in line with program expectations, including paperwork processes, safety protocols, and communication with coworkers
- Provide field supervision support for work crews for training and staffing requirements, as needed
- Manage all invoicing and payments for jobs
- Communication includes providing support/assistance to crew supervisors for job or tool-related needs, including being accessible by cell phone during work crew hours, communicating effectively with other staff and collaborative agencies, and checking phone messages, email, and mailbox daily
- Assist with the organization and performance of fundraisers
- Work with Criminal Justice Services Department (CJSD)/Community Corrections (CC) to have adult community service clients complete their hours at Mesa County Partners, Inc.
- Attend and participate staff and program meetings (more as needed)
Work with Restitution Program Manager to ensure:
- Supervision and training of Crew Supervisors so that job performance is in line with program expectations, including paperwork processes, safety protocols, and communication with coworkers
- Perform scheduled and random jobsite checks to ensure Crew Supervisor expectations are met
- Ensure regular inventory of supplies, safety gear and first aid kits and stock as needed
- Ensure garage and work crew workspace is kept orderly and consistent with safety standards
- Keep staff authorization lists with local vendors/businesses current
- Maintain safety and compliance of child labor laws
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
Education and Experience:
Required two or more years’ experience with landscaping and tool maintenance and management. Preferred one or more years’ experience working with related community agencies and juvenile clientele.
Any combination of education, training and experience which provides the knowledge, skills and abilities required for the job.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Pass background check that includes motor vehicle, criminal history and child abuse; must possess driver’s license and insurance; submit to drug screening.
Must be at least 21 years old; must have the desire, dedication, and patience to work with youth offenders.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
This position requires standing, stooping, sitting, bending, twisting, and lifting up to 25 pounds.
Work is generally confined to a standard office environment.
