The Deburr Technician that supports our Gyros Protein Technologies business has responsibility for performing hand finishing techniques and/or de-burring to smooth and blend rough components into finished products.
Key Job Responsibilities:
• Model personal Lean Philosophy 5S behaviors in creating a continuously improving, clean, well-organized and self-maintaining work environment. Work closely with team members and others to motivate and improve 5S knowledge and implementation.
• Follow a continuous improvement approach for team accountability for achieving high performance SQDC (Safety, Quality, Delivery, & Cost) targets through a visual work environment.
• Comply with company ethics, code of conduct, policies, and best practices, with a commitment to safety in the workplace, valuing of diversity, and promotion of a harassment-free environment.
• Assist in the daily operations of a machine shop
• Understand and follow all Machine Shop safety practices
• Deburring and cleaning parts
• Handling Lap parts
• Sandblast parts
• Assist in the cleanliness of the shop
• Learn to read print and shop practices
• Installing Helicoils and other inserts
• Maintain machines coolant levels
• Clean and maintain machines and/or equipment
• Material handling- able to lift 50bls
• Saw materials
• Awareness of the hazards of different materials, chemicals and contaminated parts
• Assist in Quality Control (QC)
• Assist in organization / management of deburr tools and supplies
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications/Education:
• High School diploma or GED required
• Two or more years’ experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
• Strong knowledge of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) and Good
Manufacturing Practices (GMP) preferred
• Any equivalent combination of education and experience
Compensation/Benefits:
