Safety Coordinator - MSHA/DOT
Job Posting for Safety Coordinator - MSHA/DOT at Meshoppen Stone, Inc.
Job Summary:
- Conduct on-site inspections or investigations of surface mines to identify potentially hazardous conditions affecting the safety and health of workers.
- Ensure proper mining equipment maintenance and usage.
- Collaborate with management and workers to promote safety awareness and compliance.
- Develop and implement safety policies and procedures.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses to identify root causes and recommend corrective actions.
- Provide safety training and education to employees.
- Monitor compliance with MSHA (Mine Safety and Health Administration) standards.
- Maintain accurate records related to safety incidents, inspections, and training.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a safety professional.
- In-depth knowledge of legislation (e.g., MSHA/DOT/OSHA/EPA) and safety procedures.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to make effective decisions in a timely manner.
Preferred Qualifications:
- MSHA or relevant experience in the mining industry.
- Experience providing Safety Training to employees.

Pay: $56,983.00 - $60,337.00 per year
