Job Summary:
We are seeking a knowledgeable and experienced Knowledge Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing customized Knowledge Management strategies to support our organization's needs. The Knowledge Manager will play a crucial role in facilitating effective communication, knowledge sharing, and mapping for the Army client.
Duties:
- Develop and facilitate customized Web - Based Knowledge Management (KM) Support for DAMO-SS to include support for all known and future Personnel Proponency requirements.
- Provide recommendations for knowledge retention, knowledge sharing, and knowledge mapping.
- Conduct research and analyze information shared across web-based forums and determine recommendations for increasing effective communication and effective strategies.
- Accurately capture the root causes of performance problem and recommend solutions in accordance with Department of Defense, Service and HQDA Knowledge Management policy.
- Facilitate discussion boards on emerging topics, and maintain professional discussion that educate and inform the Personnel Proponent communities.
- Facilitate discussion boards to include developing and requesting stakeholder input for topics, inviting Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) for conference attendance.
- Support Continuous collaborative environments with DAMO-SS facilitation.
- Provide content updates on approved web-based communication tools (estimated at two or 3 times per week).
- Provide recommendations for increasing effective communication on web-based forums (monthly).
- Capture performance problem areas/training gaps and root causes assessed by these forums and determine recommendations for improvement (monthly).
- Support and monitor the development and integration of key DAMO-SS issues and projects (continuous).
- Update content across multimedia delivery systems when changes in policy, regulation, discussion boards, or education occur to all assigned personnel proponents abreast of current HR topics (weekly).
- Review, coordinate and make synchronization recommendations between the G-3/5 and the G-3/5/7 Knowledge Manager.
- Provide Knowledge Management expertise to support continuity of Operations (COOP).
Skills:
- Experience utilizing web-based tools such as MS Teams, MS SharePoint, Defense Connect Services for document management and collaboration.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in collaborative environments.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field.
- Minimum of three years of experience in knowledge and data management.
- Secret Clearance required.
