Position
Following standard operating procedures and work instructions, and using standard laboratory equipment and processes, incumbent bottles, labels, and packages product formulations for final inspection and release by Quality Control Inspection. Responsible for handling production reagents, chemicals, buffers, sub-components, labels, and documentation to complete finished goods production
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Complies with companies Operational guidelines; follows Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), completes all manufacturing instructions, and completes all required documentation with attention to detail and method..
- Responsible for the manufacture, bottling, and packaging of assigned products according to the manufacturing formula and SOP instructions.
- Following Batch Record Sheet Description and SOPs, prepares, mixes and bottles approved formulations, applies labels, and packages final product with package inserts.
- Uses a variety of laboratory equipment in the manufacture, bottling, and packaging of products. Please refer to the Equipment listed for additional information.
- Completes records for final product and records this information in company’s systems.
- Records and updates buffer inventory.
- Records refrigerator and freezer temperatures, mega ohm-cm reading of DI water daily.
- Informs Manager of Manufacturing and/or Quality Control team if materials need to be released.
- Reports inventory status to Manufacturing Manager and/or QC Manager
- Provides customer service support as needed.
- Utilize and convey safe work habits to ensure laboratory safety and production productivity.

Qualifications:
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Math Ability: Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry, and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
- Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Inventory Management System (IMS), Microsoft Outlook, and analytical lab instrumentation-specific software.
- Education/Experience: High School Diploma/GED and some experience in a similar environment requiring strong attention to detail. Associates degree in Science or two years laboratory experience preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Physical Demands:
- The employee regularly uses one or both hands to reach and manipulate objects and requires fine motor skills. Employee alternately sits/stands, walks, carries objects, reaches at/below should level, or pushes/pulls carts.
- Employee occasionally sits, climbs or balances, stoops, kneels, crouches, reaches overhead, or crawls. Employee frequently lifts and/or carries containers or objects of less than 5 pounds up to 20 pounds; on an infrequent basis and with the assistance of device or co-worker may lift up to 50 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include near visual acuity, peripheral vision, depth perception, ability to adjust focus, and ability to see full-spectrum color. Employee regularly enters data to a computer requiring keyboarding skills.
