Job Description: Treatment Nurse
Come and join our dynamic team of dedicated professionals. Mesun Health and Rehabilitation Center is a NEW State of the Art Facility conveniently located in a picturesque setting in Lawrenceville.
We are currently seeking a qualified Treatment Nurse who is committed to delivering compassionate quality care to our patients and who possess strong customer service skills.
As a Treatment Nurse at Mesun, you will be treated as a valuable member of our healthcare team. The Treatment Nurse role includes: Evaluating patient needs through on-going assessments, administering direct care such as assessing and treating skin conditions, implementing proper treatments, maintaining wound measurements, rounding with the wound Physician, implementing, updating and maintaining skin/wound care plans and providing patient and family education as needed. The Treatment Nurse must have the ability to reason and use good judgment skills, and must be able to communicate and function as a productive member of the team.
QUALIFICATIONS
· Must be knowledgeable of practices and procedures as well as the laws, regulations, and guidelines governing functions in the post acute care facility
· Must have the ability to implement and interpret the programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures of the department
· Must be able to use reasoning skills and good judgment
· Must be able to communicate and function productively on an interdisciplinary team
· Must have good knowledge in field of treatment/wound care
RESPONSIBILITIES
· The Treatment Nurse provides primary skin care to patients under the medical direction and supervision of attending physicians, DON and Treatment Coordinator, as indicated, in accordance with all applicable laws, regulations, and Mesun Health and Rehabilitation standards
· Must be able to identify, manage, and treat specific skin disorders and primary/secondary lesions
· Must be able to identify changes in patients’ skin conditions and report changes to DON
· Implements, Updates and maintains patient Care Plans
· Maintains professional working relationships with all associates, vendors, etc
· Maintains confidentiality of all proprietary and/or confidential information
· Must understand and follow company policies including and compliance procedures
· Must be able to knowledgeably and competently deliver quality nursing care to patients
· Must exhibit excellent customer service and a positive attitude towards patients
