We are building a team focused on building new metaverse products that support this mission.The Language Management team from Internationalization (i18n) at Meta is looking for an experienced team lead who can effectively support our team and adapt to our team growth. As Lead, Language Management, you will support a group of Language Managers to enable and empower them to deliver the best linguistic experience on Reality Labs products like Quest and Portal to our international audience through high quality translations. As we work closely with team members and stakeholders in different regions, it is very important that you are comfortable working with teams across different time zones.

Lead, Language Management Responsibilities:
- Identify collaboration opportunities for Reality Labs Language Managers (LMs) through active engagement with cross-functional stakeholders
- Build and strengthen work streams where Reality Labs LMs take part as stakeholders
- Set team and individual goals and priorities for Reality Labs LMs by working with the team and leads from both Language Management and other partner teams
- Guide the Reality Labs LMs to understand their priorities and help them succeed
- Coach Reality Labs LMs in complex projects and help them navigate our dynamic work environment
- Design and implement efficient and scalable end-to-end quality frameworks that drive LM efficiency and impact overall language quality
- Identify and solve challenges that affect localized language quality
- Contribute to roadmap planning with partner teams to influence investments in the international user experience
- Be an excellent people manager that empowers the team to maximize their impact and support the growing team with empathy
Minimum Qualifications:
- 2 years of people management experience
- 5 years of experience with language management
- Experience of working with cross functional teams
- Experience with localization platforms, file formats and CAT tools – such as SDL Trados Studio, Idiom WorldServer, or any similar in-house localization tools and platform that manages and/or automates the translation workflow
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of languages other than English
- Familiarity with hardware localization and/or gaming localization
