About the Role:
The Business Talent Coach (BTC) is accountable to drive outstanding business results by engaging, supporting, and developing the lifeblood of Meta: its people. A BTC’s success relies on the ability to influence and operate amongst executive leaders throughout the organization in a rapid-changing environment. They work alongside the senior business leaders to drive employee engagement as well as address and mitigate grievances and employee relations matters. The BTC will effectively execute People & Culture policy and procedures, act as a strategic partner to address chronic organizational challenges and provide immediate fixes to acute situations.
The day-to-day basis of the role will vary depending on the need of the business leader. It could be working with a senior manager in a foundational way to establish the right team structure, communication mechanisms and practices to set the team up for success. Alternatively, it could be coaching a manager around a difficult performance discussion.
What You Will Do:
- Actively participates in meetings with business unit management to understand the key business challenges and opportunities in the environment and makes recommendations on talent and People & Culture solutions.
- Works with all levels of executive and senior hiring managers to coordinate the requisition, recruitment, interviewing and hiring process.
- Develops employment terms for new hires, promotions and transfers.
- Consults with line management, providing People & Culture guidance where and when appropriate.
- Analyzes trends and metrics in partnership with the People & Culture team to develop solutions, programs, and policies.
- Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to senior management (coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions).
- Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale and provide HR policy guidance and interpretation.
- Provides guidance and input on optimal business unit structures to drive efficiency and effectiveness and conducts workforce planning and succession planning initiatives.
- Collaborates with Learning and Development to ensure training programs are in place that meet the needs of the business unit.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What You Will Need:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, or equivalent education and work experience. Master's degree preferred.
- Typically, 5 years of experience with a bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
- Strong exposure to all facets of the employee lifecycle including recruitment, onboarding, performance management issues and discussions, processes and outcomes, and succession planning.
- Background in organizational development.
- Strong business-oriented acumen and financially literate in order to engage in conversation that relates to the bottom line.
- Demonstrated ability to engage, inspire and influence at all levels of the organization particularly, senior management.
- Ability to develop clear, actionable steps from overall strategy.
- Must be organized, able to multi-task and adapt to an ever-changing work environment.
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and be able to communicate at all levels of the organization.
- Experience with Microsoft Office and ability to understand processes and how software programs interact is beneficial.
