Although MTI began as a tool & die heat treater, the company now offers full-service capabilities that include: Vacuum Processing of the Tool Steels, Induction, Carburizing, and Neutral Hardening. MTI has broad range of customers. Customer satisfaction has been demonstrated by customer loyalty. Maintenance plays a vital part in ensuring that we can continue to provide heat treating services. Without preventative maintenance and repairs to our heat-treating equipment we would not be able to continue our forward motion.

Hours: Monday-Friday 7am-3:30pm, 40 hours weekly.

Job Summary: Maintain scheduled preventive maintenance plan and supporting documentation. Perform maintenance and repairs as needed.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

• Assist with the supervision of maintenance personnel and schedule daily duties as needed.
• Create & maintain a spare parts inventory.
• Convert work tickets and PM paperwork to electronic system, as required.
• Perform or supervise maintenance on more technical equipment, as required.
• Develop a more streamline preventive maintenance plan and maintain documentation, as required.
• Monitor inspection records, as required, to comply with OSHA standards.
• Coordinate and assist in installation of new equipment.
• Repair and maintain heat treating equipment.
• Maintains a clean work area.
• Assists Supervisor in training functions as directed.
• Ensures security and proper use of company equipment, tooling, and supplies.
• Adheres to all safety standards and procedures, and maintains an ongoing awareness of safety for self and others in assigned work areas.
• Participates in company sponsored training as required.
• Performs other related duties and responsibilities as required or assigned.
• Additional Responsibilities: Assists with preventative maintenance and other maintenance employees with equipment repair when needed.

Qualifications:

• Extensive background in mechanical and electrical systems maintenance.
• Proficient in working with conveyors, pumps, motors, gears, bearings, valves, motors, and more.
• Skilled in working with hydraulics and pneumatics.
• Experience working on electrical machines up to and including 480v.
• Organizational and supervisory skills.

Working Conditions: Warehouse environment, may encounter dirt, dust, oil, processing chemicals, may be noisy and the temperature may be hot or cool. May encounter Confined spaces for maintenance repairs.

Physical Requirements:

• Lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Climbing stairs and ladders.
• Considerable amount of walking and bending.
