Customer service - Logistics
Morristown, TN (Onsite)
3 Month Contract
Overview :
Ensure seamless order acceptance, processing, and delivery for national and international customers.
Coordinate special cargo arrangements, including special voyages, sea, and air shipments.
Daily liaison for delivery schedules with customers, production, demand planning, and sales teams.
Efficiently distribute available goods, overseeing bottleneck control and order creation.
Responsibilities :
Monitor incoming orders and promptly create orders.
Coordinate delivery dates and manage specific customer requirements.
Handle customer portals, ensuring timely responses and accurate information exchange.
Resolve customer inquiries via email and phone, enhancing satisfaction and relationships.
Facilitate communication between warehouses, dispatch departments, production, and planning teams.
Manage daily handling of incoming EDI messages and ensure accurate transmission of ASN's.
Document and follow up on complaints to ensure resolution and customer satisfaction.
Requirements :
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
Familiarity with SAP or PMRS is highly desirable.
Strong customer service and negotiation skills.
Excellent communication, time management, and problem-solving abilities.
Experience Required :
First experience in customer relations and order handling in international markets.
Knowledge of products, production processes, and production planning, including material flow in the plant.
Coordination of special cargo arrangements, such as special voyages, sea, and air shipments.
Daily coordination of delivery dates with customers, production, demand planning, and sales teams.
Experience in distribution of goods by order, including bottleneck control, and creation of standardized documents.
Education Required :
High School Diploma
Education Preferred :
Associate degree
