Summary: MFH is seeking an experienced LCSW or LPC to join the MFH Outpatient team as a Full-Time Program Coordinator to provide supervision and management of our outpatient clinic in Fayetteville, AR which also serves some area school districts. Must be able to provide strong, decisive clinical direction and support to staff and work collaboratively in the community representing the organization. The ideal candidate is confident, has a positive attitude, is flexible, team-oriented, organized, and able to work autonomously to manage and support the day-to-day needs of the programs and staff. Excellent communication skills are a necessity and supervisory/management experience is preferred. The Outpatient Program Coordinator provides direct supervision, consultation and training to employees of MBH working in an outpatient clinic or school-based program. This person will also assist with providing in-service training to staff, school district personnel, and community-based as needed. This position carries out other program and administrative responsibilities as assigned. The Outpatient Program Coordinator reports directly to the Outpatient Administrator.

 

Responsibilities:

Provides supervision, consultation, in-service training, and related support services to the staff in a clinic or school-based program through the Outpatient Services Department.

Develops and oversees staff work schedules, productivity expectation, job assignments, disciplinary actions, etc. with approval of OP Administrator and keeps detailed and accurate documentation of all pertinent information.

Conducts the interviewing and hiring of prospective employees for the clinic or program.

Conducts the annual performance evaluations of the staff (therapists, case managers, etc.) under his/her direction.

Communicates directly with school district personnel and other community providers and attends meetings in the district and community as needed and approved by the OP Administrator.

Coordinates medication clinic delivery with the physician and office manager and addresses issues/concerns related to medication clinic delivery as they arise.

Communicates directly with MBH and MCH Directors and Administrators to promote effective use of the continuum of care.

Provides 24-hour emergency consultation to direct care staff.

Orients new Therapists and Case Managers to the program, personnel, paperwork, forms, EMR, ADP, various processes, etc.

Works closely with staff in the program to ensure quality and timely service delivery using verbal and written clinical feedback, in-services, staff meetings, treatment team meetings, 1:1 supervision, etc.

Provide feedback, insight and suggestions to the OP Administrator to improve and maintain a high quality of service delivery and ongoing program evaluation.

Follows all policy and procedure guidelines specifically and remains informed about any additions or changes.

Assists in preparation and helps maintain compliance with Department of Health, Medicaid, and TJC regulations and standards.

Assists in collection and preparation of data for the Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) Committee.

Remains informed about local, state, and federal standards and regulations pertaining to the provision of services to patients and their families.

Takes advantage of professional growth opportunities and in-service training.

Conducts presentations and interprets agency programs at professional conferences and to community agencies, and organizations, as needed.

Seeks out, responds positively to, and implements suggestions and feedback from supervisor.

Maintain a reduced caseload if needed (To be determined by OP Administrator and may be based on size of program, number of staff, etc.)

Provides other related functions as assigned.

 

Qualifications:

· Masters Degree from an accredited University and a current Arkansas License as a Mental Health Professional is required. Prefer LCSW, LPC, LPE-I, or PhD.

· A minimum of four (4) years post-graduate experience working in mental health and one (1) year supervisory experience is preferred.

· Proven ability as a self-motivator and the aptitude to work in a high stress, fast paced position with a minimal amount of supervision.

· Must maintain required professional certifications

· Must possess a valid Arkansas Driver’s License and must be insurable to operate company vehicles if required.

 

Desired Qualifications:

· Experience working in a school-based or community based behavioral health setting

· Experience working with at-risk youth

· Trauma Focused CBT certified or in progress

· Other specialized training/certification or in progress (i.e. play therapy, EMDR, etc.)

· Ability to be flexible with schedule

· Experience working in an Electronic Medical Record

Additional Mandatory Requirements:

· Ability to document accurately and professionally

· Must be physically capable to receive verbal and written directions

· Remains current in Crisis Prevention Intervention Training, CPR & First Aid

· Must be willing and able to work with all patients of Methodist Family Health, regardless of gender

· Must have good auditory, visual and olfactory ability

· Use hands and fingers to handle or feel objects, tools or controls

· Must be able to maintain effective audio, visual discrimination and perception needed for making observations, communicating with others, reading and writing, and operating office equipment and other treatment equipment.

· Must be able to use a telephone to communicate verbally and a computer to communicate through written means, to review information and enter/retrieve data, to see and read characters on a computer screen, chart or other treatment items

· Requires the ability to sit for long periods of time and intermittently walk, stand, stoop, kneel, crouch and reach with hands and arms.

· Flu shot is mandatory and required for all positions (subject to qualified exemptions).

 

Other: The individual employed in this position may accept other reasonable assignments, which may be necessary, for efficient operation of assigned programs as there is time and opportunity.
