Job Summary:

• The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) utilizes the nursing process to deliver and coordinate patient care. The LPN is responsible for promoting and restoring patient's health by completing the nursing process, collaborating with physicians and team members, and providing physical and psychological support to patients and their families. Exhibits the core values of Methodist Fremont Health. He/she practices within the boundaries of the Nebraska Nurse Practice Act, specialty standards, and organizational/departmental policies and procedures. Oversees clinical staff proficiencies, supply ordering, and day to day clinical operations.

Education:

• Required: Graduation from an accredited school of practical nursing.

License/Certifications:

• Current Nebraska License Practical Nurse (LPN) state license required.
• Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) strongly preferred to have at time of hire, required within 3 months of hire.

Experience:

• Preferred: 1-3 years of health care experience but new graduates are considered.
