Originally founded as a traditional, campus-based orphanage, we have now transitioned to providing community-based services. We work in partnership with public agencies and raise private funds to deliver evidence-based services and support children in crisis. Our commitment extends beyond residential programs, providing lifelong support to anyone who has been a part of our organization.
Role Description
This is a full-time role as a Family Preservation Specialist at Methodist Home for Children. The Family Preservation Specialist will be responsible for day-to-day tasks such as communication, case management, and working an evidenced based model with the fsmilies they serve. This is a hybrid role, with the majority of the work located in Onslow County, NC, but with some flexibility for remote work.
Qualifications
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Knowledge of family law and its application
- Experience in case management and providing support to families
- Understanding of medical and family medicine concepts
- Empathy and ability to build strong relationships
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team
- Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, or related field
- Experience working with children and families is a plus
