AVP, US Enterprise Modernization Team Leader
Hybrid schedule in any of the following locations: Cary, NC; Tampa, FL; Oriskany, NY; NYC; Aurora, IL; Bridgewater, NJ; Whippany, NJ; or Charlotte, NC
Department: Global Technology & Operations is responsible for technology development, infrastructure, information and cyber security, data strategy and analytics, customer service, and operations in support of all lines of business across 40 markets around the world.
The Role: The AVP, US Enterprise Modernization Team Leader will be key in the development of the Enterprise Modernization capability across the US and the broader firm. This leader will inherit the legacy MetLife Way team and work with the SVP to:
- develop the enterprise methodology for process and service excellence,
- drive the largest initial deployments of this new capability,
- assist in upskilling the incumbent team to ensure sustainability of the work, and
- assist in establishing a commercially viable, scalable enterprise capability that is aligned with Next Horizon, Winning the Future and local business unit strategies.
Key Relationships:
- Reports to: SVP of Enterprise Modernization in Global Business Solutions Department.
- Direct reports/team: 9 direct reports (4 Directors, 5 Business Practice Leads)
Key Responsibilities:
This capability, and consequently this leader, will drive service and process excellence capabilities, resulting in simplified customer servicing experiences, streamlines core processes, intelligent automation, de-risking of business processes, enrichment of work for our people and realization of cost/capacity right-sizing.
Key responsibilities include:
- Development/refinement of the Enterprise Modernization Framework methodology.
- Process baselining and deep assessment of end-to-end processes.
- Identification of both near-term and long-term strategic transformation opportunities.
- Design of both near-term and strategic re-engineering solutions that span customer experience, operational processes, digitization, automation, risk management practices.
- Business case development and prioritization.
- Solution implementation planning, sizing and sequencing across business, technology and operations.
- Development of success measurement system and sustainability plans.
- Broad, multidisciplinary stakeholder management.
- Development of executive stakeholder materials and accountability measures.
Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree and related field experience required.
- 10 years leadership level experience with a background in operational excellence, Lean, process reengineering and/or large-scale transformation.
- High aptitude for critical thinking, analytics and problem solving.
- Ability to work across and break down organizational silos (end-to-end enterprise mindset).
- Ability to work professional disciplines (business, operations, technology).
- Intellectually curious and voracious learner.
