What are the responsibilities and job description for the Estimator position at Metpar Corp?
We are looking for a diligent Estimator to prepare accurate estimates for projects reading specifications and/or written requests from distributors. The ideal candidate will be proficient in numerical skills and a logical mindset. You must be thorough and apt in managing relationships with different types of commercial customers nationwide.
Responsibilities
- Ability to read and understand specifications
- Look at blueprints to determine which is the best way to estimate project
- Obtain excellent product knowledge and what is available with each product material
- Provide top notch customer service
- Understand the drawing program and how to maneuver through it
- Ability to answer customer’s questions in a calm manner
- Create and submit estimate bids to appropriate persons (project managers, clients, etc.)
- Build relationships with key accounts
Skills
- Experience as estimator or similar position
- Customer service is they main key to being successful and is a must
- Capability to learn products and their usages
- Knowledge of how to read blueprints
- Basic math functions
- Outstanding communication skills via email and phone
- Thoroughness and reliability
- Excellent organizational skills
- Great personality a must!
- Able to stay calm in stressful situations with customers
- Computer skills such as Excel, Outlook, Word
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $26,000.00 - $29,000.00 per year
