Sheet Metal Technician for our
Part 145 Repair Station - Metro Gulf Division in
Lafayette, Louisiana.

Job Objective
The Sheet Metal Technician is responsible for all phases and aspects of the duties and responsibilities assigned to this position. The Sheet Metal Technician will uphold the highest standards of safety while conducting their duties and represent the company
Essential Functions
- Fabricate and repair sheet metal components for aircraft
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Use hand and power tools to cut, shape, and form sheet metal
- Install and repair aircraft structural components
- Perform quality control inspections to ensure compliance with industry standards
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
Requirements
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities (KSA)
- Attention to detail is a must
- Reliability
- Possess work ethics of honesty, integrity, and commitment to maintain safe and compliant aircraft
- Consistently produce quality work setting high standards, team player, good attitude, and be company oriented
- Must be able to pass the OSHA Respirator Medical Evaluation, pre-employment
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 3-5 years Sheet Metal experience a plus
- Composite experience a plus
- A&P License recommended
Physical Demands
- Pro-longed sitting and standing as well as walking, pushing, pulling, reaching, bending, and kneeling
- Frequent use of hands and wrists
- Climbing heights on various equipment
- Lifting up to 50 or more pounds
Work Environment
- Indoor shop
- Exposure to hazardous chemicals is possible
- Moderate to loud noise level
- Light machinery is used
Work Status, Schedule, & Travel
- Full-time, 40 hours per week
- Monday-Thursday 7:00 am-4:30 pm, Friday 7:00 am-12:00 pm
- Additional hours may be required depending on workload
