POSITION SUMMARY:
Deal Accounting is responsible for processing vehicle sales transaction in the Dealer Management System (DMS) and other related systems. Also responsible for monthly reconciling input with reports generated by DMS, vendors and financial institutions. Work day is generally self-directed but will have minimum essential duties that are completed each day.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
High school diploma or equivalent
Ability to work independently as well as with a team
High level of organization and attention to detail
Independent problem solving ability
Ability to read, speak and write English in order to fulfill job functions in an understandable way
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Process vehicle retail sale transactions in DMS system, including accounting entry
Process delivery reporting related to vehicle sale transactions
Process back end products with vendors and research/reconcile invoicing discrepancies
Process back end product cancellations
Process payments for reserve/incentives and research/reconcile discrepancies
Process month end business recorded in related entity
Review related accounting schedules at least monthly
Reconcile floorplan statement with floorplan provider statement
Reconcile vehicle physical inventory quarterly
Produce commission reports
Process month end duties
Process other deal related activity as directed
Comply with all Metro Toyota policies and procedures
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ensure the work and customer areas are kept clean
Take advantage of GM and DMS training when available
Must maintain a professional image and positively represent Metro Toyota
All other duties as assigned
Relating positively with diverse groups of people (customers and staff)

- Ability to sit at a computer in an office setting for 6-8 hours per day
