Job Summary: Insure that MetroLink Tulsa computer software, and hardware remains functional and accessible for all employees. Work closely with IT Helpdesk tickets, the IT department’s main goal is to reduce lost work time due to computer issues, increasing productivity and efficiency. This position will help new employees with the setup of the software needed to complete their assigned job duties. In addition, may spot signs of hardware problems before they escalate, and expected to take proactive approach to replace aging equipment before failures occur. This position will have general knowledge and assist with varies IT operations projects.

Essential Functions
- Responsible for fulfilling IT helpdesk functions, as well as assisting in supporting an ongoing IT projects.
- Gain full understanding of scheduling system and integration with other applications (CAD/AVL, Digital Signage).
- Responsibility and ability to learn and maintain the Maintenance application modules: EAM & Bus Stop management software.
- Knowledge of GIS, mapping tools such as ArcGIS/ArcView is a plus.
- Work closely with all departments with the purpose of supporting IT functions.
- Work with data conversion, maps, cartography, graphical apps is a plus .
- Helpdesk support including strong knowledge of Microsoft, PC/LAN and Network communications hardware and software.
- Ability to maintain and update Asset Inventory Management.
- Install applications and provide training to end users as needed.
- Work independently or as part of a team on-site or remote at times for extended hours on multiple projects with minimal direct supervision.
- Work under pressure and deliver optimal results of projects on time.
- Ability to document operational procedures and results is required.
- Must report to work on a timely and regular basis.
- Performs other incidental duties as may be assigned.

- High-level knowledge of commonly used software, hardware and applications.
- Strong oral communication skills to gather information from employees and explain complex technical concepts in simple language.
- Demonstrated written communication skills to create useful support logs
- Solid skill set in database management, preferably SQL. Experience with GIS applications (e.g. ArcGIS, ArcView 9.3 ) is a plus.
- Proven interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with vendors and end users on the telephone, in writing, in person, and in group settings; to effectively track and follow up on new and ongoing project initiatives or issues that arise.
- Practical experience in Microsoft Windows versions, computer systems/network support for helpdesk assistance. Knowledge of Citrix and Microsoft Terminal Services are a plus.
- Work with relational database management systems (ODBC, SQL Server) and Visual Basic for Applications a plus.
- Computer skills using Microsoft Office products (Excel, Access) to perform data analysis.
- Knowledge of VB.NET, Flash, Java, or other web development technologies is preferable.
- Business experience in quality assurance, testing, and analysis is a plus, preferably in the public transportation industry.
