Job Summary:
This position is responsible for supervision of Metronet Business Account Executives, as well as responsible for meeting their own individual sales goals. The Business Selling Sales Manager is responsible for ensuring all sales goals are met in a specific market. This position will also oversee the daily, weekly monthly progress of the Account Executives assigned, including forecast sales, help to develop sales strategies in order to maximize the market in order to achieve company growth and to retain existing base of customers.
What you will be doing:
- Establish short and long-term sales goals for the sales market/region with the VP of Sales and or Business Sales Manager
- Drive and monitor daily, weekly and monthly sales activity, through contact with the sales team and the use of weekly AE IBM meetings, existing Salesforce tool and going on sales call with the AE’s.
- Hold Account Executives accountable for required sales goals and to the AE Minimum expectations Document
- The Selling Sales Manager must Not compete for sales with the other assigned Account Executives; this is done by adhering to the agreed upon sales strategy/tactics detailed in the written Business/Action Plan.
- Provide direction, motivation and leadership to Account Executives within the region
- Assist Account Executives with contract negotiations, difficult sales issues and customers
- Provide ongoing sales training to increase close rates
- Keep updated on competition in assigned region – this includes products and services sold, pricing, packaging and selling methods
What You Need For This Position:
- College degree desired but not required in lieu of applicable experience
- Valid driver’s license
- A minimum of 5 years of sales experience is required in the telecommunications industry.
- Must have a proven sales experience/accomplishments and a demonstrated track record of supervising people and large/complex projects.
- Working knowledge of Salesforce is a plus.
