The Re-entry Data Specialist provides administrative support for all program initiatives. This position is responsible for working with various College team members, Nebraska Department of Correctional Services administrators, evaluators and re-entry stakeholders to assist in data management and provide offsite correctional facility support. This position will collect, input and track program data and assist with reporting participant and program outcomes. The Specialist provides direct support at correctional facilities, assisting with education functions to ensure expanded student access to programming.
ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS:
1. Provides administrative support for all re-entry program initiatives, specifically focusing on data and facility outcomes.
2. Works with the Director, 180 RAP staff and Institutional Effectiveness to input, track and manage data.
3. Supports general day-to-day educational functions onsite at Nebraska Department of Correctional Services facilities.
4. Verifies quantitative and qualitative re-entry data is appropriately collected program wide.
5. Assists with reporting participant and program outcomes.
6. Works with program staff to ensure and support participant access to education and programming.
7. Assists with outreach and retention efforts.
8. Participates in various events including, but not limited to: departmental meetings, corrections and community meetings, re-entry fairs and student appreciation events.
9. Consistently and dependably attends work, activities, and functions as scheduled or assigned.

2. Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
3. Strong computer and analytical skills.
4. Effective verbal and written communications skills.
5. Skilled in human relations and diplomacy.
6. Ability to communicate, effectively work and interact with a diverse population, various cultures and ethnicities.
7. Ability to maintain accurate records and pay close attention to detail.
8. Ability to work well with minimal supervision in a team-oriented environment.

Required Qualification
Associate’s degree plus three (3) years of full-time work-related experience including high attention to detail, planning and/or program management and scheduling.
Equivalent combination of education and/or work experience considered
Preferred Qualifications Physical Demands
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

This position is Special Funding until 06/30/25
Ability to enter and travel to Nebraska Department of Correctional Services facilities.
Valid driver’s license and insurability to drive college vehicles is required.
