What are the responsibilities and job description for the Equipment & Supply Clerk - Fire position at Metropolitan Government of Nashville & Davidson County?
The Equipment & Supply Clerk is a Civil-Service position with the Nashville Fire Department. Performs responsible duties involving ordering, stocking, issuing, and delivering equipment and supplies to all NFD’s personnel and facilities.
***Employees may be required to work varying shifts, weekends, and holidays.
Required License:
Valid Driver License
Candidates with accreditations earned in a foreign institute are encouraged to apply.
Note: Per Metro Ordinance No. SO94-1078. All employees of the Metropolitan Government shall be residents of the State of Tennessee or become residents of the state within six (6) months of employment as a prerequisite to employment with the Metropolitan Government.

- Reviews requests for supplies and equipment.
- Assembles orders for supplies and equipment.
- Distributes supplies and assists with inventory control.
- Keeps accurate records and writes detailed reports.
