Geographic locations in which MMSI currently operates include the U.S East, Gulf & West Coasts, and Alaska. The Corporate Office is located in Southern California (Ventura) and its Regional Boat Maintenance Center a technically advanced facility in Woodbine Georgia.
How you would make an impact/key responsibilities:
Join the dynamic MMSI team as the RBMC Program Manager responsible for the Southeast Region Port Operations for the Navy. Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Supervises program operation by developing management procedures and controls, planning and directing project execution, monitoring, and reporting progress.
- Provide oversight, guidance and leadership to all regional personnel and of processes for compliance and quality assurance..
- Must have demonstrated excellent management, verbal, written communication skills and leadership.
- Full understanding of high-risk training evolutions, small boat operations, OSR facility response plans, booming strategies, outboard, diesel engine and hull maintenance requirements.
- Experience scheduling manpower and equipment for ship movements and operations and data analysis for corrective maintenance.
- Must have full understanding of labor hours expended, Coast Guard licensing requirements, cost accounting and develop spread sheets and inventory control.
- Ensure that all missions requirements are met and qualified personnel are assigned to each task.
- Ensure compliance with all Company Policies and Procedures, USCG, Federal, State and Local Government Agencies regulations.
- Must be capable of interacting effectively with Government personnel.
- Any other duties as required for the Contract performance.
What is needed to succeed:
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Management of marine engineers and mechanics and processes on site’s office, facilities, and aboard vessels and craft.
Qualifications:
- The RBMC Program Manager shall have either: (1) documented equivalent of ten (10) years’ experience directly related to the above requirements or (2) a Bachelor of Science Degree in Management, Marine Transportation or Engineering and the equivalent of five (5) years’ experience with the maintenance and repair of shipboard systems, hull, mechanical and electrical with an emphasis on outboard and diesel engines.
