The Box Truck Driver is responsible for operating company trucks, making route deliveries to customers, ensuring product is delivered to customers in a timely manner, completing required paperwork, and staying compliant with DOT regulations.
Responsibilities Include:
- Load and unload delivery trucks to make the appropriate deliveries to the customers on the route
- Secure loads when loading delivery trucks
- Build relationships and rapport with customers on the route
- Complete paperwork necessary for company and DOT regulations
- Perform related duties as required, including following route directions, stop to stop, for all routes
- Communicate with logistics and fleet management on maintenance issues and preventative maintenance of delivery trucks
- All other duties as assigned
Requirements
License:
- Must possess and maintain a valid License and relative endorsement for the specific state.
- Must remain insurable at the standard insurance market rate.
- Must possess and maintain a valid DOT medical examiners card.
- Must be able to comply with all FMCSA rules and regulations.
Experience:
- One to three years of driving experience in a box truck or any other commercial motor vehicle over 10,0001 lbs.
$14.50 up to $15.00 per hour, based on experience
Monday, Wednesday – Friday; average worked hours 40 per week
6am to 6pm (End Time Varies on Most Days Due to Work Load/Coverage)
