What are the responsibilities and job description for the Clinical Director - ABA position at MGA Homecare?
The Clinical Director, BCBA, is responsible for managing a team of Clinical Supervisors in the implementation of individualized treatment plans for a caseload of patients. The Clinical Director works closely with the administrative, operations, and clinical team to ensure quality of care, authorization, supervision, and implementation of treatment plans toward effective patient outcomes. The Clinical Director models the MGA philosophy and culture in their work through every interaction with patients and stakeholders in the clinic, home, and community. The Clinical Director oversees and provides performance coaching and ongoing training to Clinical Supervisor, BCBA, and RBT staff. The Clinical Director promotes growth of the operations by placing quality and client centered care as the top priority for MGA Behavior Therapy.
Clinical Services
- Conduct patient intake assessments inclusive of IA/FBA and curricular assessments
- Assist in the on-boarding of new patients
- Develop the initial treatment plan and make regular program modifications
- Write treatment protocols and behavior support plans (standard functional analysis, practical functional assessment, descriptive assessments, etc.)
- Communicate regularly with parents to facilitate the treatment objectives
- Meets regularly with the Clinical Supervisors to review treatment plans, discuss case conceptualization, and problem solve any barriers to patient progress, and ongoing professional development, which includes productivity measurements (e.g., billable hours, utilization rate, and client census growth).
- Oversee a team of Clinical Supervisors including regular and ongoing training, support, mentorship, conducting performance evaluations (informal and formal), side-by-side coaching, and performance management to ensure direct reports are meeting or working towards meeting job requirements
Quality
- Ensure that audits are regularly conducted, that clients are progressing, and that MGA policies and procedures are being followed
- Develop/demonstrate supervisory and leadership skills through a servant leadership model
- Support quality assurance measures by auditing and collecting IOA, treatment fidelity data, and reviewing RBT clinical notes, and performance management tracking
- Ensure that clinical quality is the focal point of new hire orientation
- Follow BACB Ethical Code
- Oversee clinical aspects of BHCOE accreditation process and maintain the accreditation standards
- Able to use performance-based metrics to drive quality, coach direct reports, and make assessments regarding individual and location performance
Program Development
- Provide supervision and oversight of BCBA candidates
- Provide clinical oversight to the training department
- Maintain BCBA certification by renewing certification as mandated by BACB/state regulatory body
- Demonstrate a high level of engagement in company culture
- Attend meetings and trainings as required
- Participate in companywide projects or initiatives
- Resolve client/employee grievances
- Maintain applied skills and provide some direct service to model for supervisee’s, as necessary
- Understand and adhere to HIPAA policies
- Must be ready and available to work during regular business hours
- Adhere to MGA policies and procedures
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Experience
- 7 years of ABA supervisory or management experience required
- 2 years of experience working in a center/clinic setting, at a supervision level preferred
- 2 years of experience working in a homebased setting, at a supervision level preferred
- Experience working with an ABA electronic medical record (EMR) system, CentralReach preferred.
- Experience with ABA data collection software is required
- Experience with the field of early intervention
- Experience in managing multi-site ABA locations preferred
- Experience in managing ABA expansions or “start-ups” preferred
Education/Certifications
- Master’s degree with concentration in ABA or related field
- BCBA certification and in good standing with the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB)

Additional Information
The salary range for this position is $90,000-$105,000 annually.
