What are the responsibilities and job description for the Casino Credit Clerk position at MGM Resorts?
The Marker Operations Clerk will be responsible for processing marker limit applications for casino patrons.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Establish and maintain patron information in pertinent casino systems
- Obtain and process patrons' gaming reports & consumer credit reports
- Verify and process banking information from various banking institutions; verify cashier's checks/official checks/bank drafts
- Communicate effectively with patrons, casino marketing teams, casino cage staff, collections staff, and other gaming establishments
- Answer multiple phone lines while maintaining the highest level of customer service
- Maintain accurate filing of marker limit applications and any related documents
- Process any marker limit correspondence
- Maintain awareness of suspicious activities to prevent and identify potential fraudulent actions.
- Assist team members, supervisors, and upper management in daily duties.
- Perform other job-related duties as requested.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Able to define, diagnose, and resolve problems
- Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and verbal forms
- Ability to multi-task and work well in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Basic knowledge or Proficiency in computer software including Outlook, MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint as well as office equipment, i.e. telephone, copier, and fax machine.
- Excellent organizational skills to function effectively under time constraints and within established deadlines, with particular attention to detail.
- Effective listening abilities with strong judgment skills
- Excellent customer service skills and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with all business contacts
