OCCUPATIONAL SUMMARY
Coordinates and supports the various administrative systems, projects, and services to the School Board Members' office.
EXAMPLES OF DUTIES
- Serves as a liaison to keep the School Board members apprised of education-related topics and concerns regarding District affairs.
- Manages aspects of Special Orders of Business, School Board meetings and other official/special events.
- Drafts letters, talking points, memos and other related materials.
- Drafts scripts and/or prepared remarks for School Board Members.
- Assists in the preparation of School Board resolutions for presentation at School Board meetings.
- Assists in the preparation of School Board Member ceremonial proclamations.
- Assists in planning and preparation of events and meetings.
- Assists Special Orders of Business recognitions for School Board meetings.
- Completes projects by identifying and implementing technology and resources.
- Maintains the daily operation and progress of projects of the department.
- Performs other duties related to general administrative responsibilities of the position.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
This work requires the following physical activities: mobility, lifting, finger dexterity, grasping, repetitive motions, talking, hearing and visual acuity. The work is performed primarily indoors.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
1. Bachelor's Degree Education, Human Resources, Public Administration, Business Administration or related field. Master's degree preferred.
2. Minimum of three (3) years experience in public administration, education, personnel, public relations, law-related field, or equivalent.
3. Knowledge of computer software and technology pertinent to area of specification.
4. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written forms.
