What are the responsibilities and job description for the Survey CADD Technician position at Michael Baker International?
DESCRIPTION
Michael Baker International is seeking to hire a CADD Technician to join the Survey group in our Moon Township (Pittsburgh), PA office. Under direct supervision, the CADD Technician will be working to analyze and compile data materials collected by field equipment. The primary data sets will be collected from survey crews using Conventional Survey and LiDAR units and the CADD Technician will compile field data into a client defined database system.
- Makes final sketch of proposed drawing, checking dimension of parts, materials to be used, relation of one part to another, and relation of various parts to whole structure or project
- Utilizes knowledge of various machines, engineering practices, mathematics, building materials, and other physical sciences to complete drawings
- Makes any adjustments or changes necessary or desired
- Inks in lines and letters on pencil drawings as required
- Draws charts for representation of statistical data
- Draws finished designs from sketches
- Uses computer assisted drafting (CAD) equipment and software
- Other duties as assigned
PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- 2-year CADD degree
- 0-3 years of related experience
- Experience with MicroStation and/or AutoCAD
COMPENSATION
The salary range for this position is $20.29/hr - $39.43/hr. This will be dependent on the experience and expertise of the incoming candidate.
