Job Description:
Microchip Technology Inc. is hiring a Senior Engineering Planner in Chandler, AZ.The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting new product part creation, tracking inventory, and planning processes during the engineering cycle. This position will engage with Product Engineering, Product Marketing, Production and Corporate Planning teams to deliver industry-leading products for automotive and commercial markets.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate all aspects of sampling requests to support UNG's engineering and customer development tools
- Help develop and use systems to analyze and optimize Inventory and WIP re-use
- Coordinate with overseas tactical planning both production and engineering non standard WIP movement
- Perform cost/gross margin analysis to identify potential improvement on under-performing parts
- Implement tools to analyze part data setup in Microchip system is ensure accuracy
- Create new product documents based on documents/data based on inputs from a variety of sources and track them through the approval process to completion.
- Create manufacturing part codes and associated customer part numbers with all relevant data used to define how to manufacture finished goods items.
- Create electronic work orders for the probe, assembly, final test or qualification of new product material through backend manufacturing working closely with our counterparts in Microchip Thailand.
- Track engineering material from wafer start through to finished goods.
Requirements/Qualifications:
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree and/or minimum of 5 years experience in semiconductor product planning.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Degree in Supply Chain Management preferred.
- APICS Certification
- Microsoft Access experience
