MicroHealth is seeking a UI/UX Designer to support our team in Vienna, VA.
Project Overview:
This position will support Information Technology (IT) services to host, operate, maintain, support, enhance, and modernize customer system. The platform operates 24/7 with monthly scheduled maintenance and is mature and processes millions of opportunity searches and hundreds of thousands of applications annually. Incumbent will be part of the team responsible for overseeing all operational and enhancement activities – including program management, system operation and maintenance, system development and integration, system verification, helpdesk operations, website maintenance, and program communications/outreach.
The current IT Services (ITS) team is responsible for system operations and maintenance, system development and integration, system testing, tier 2/3 user support, website maintenance, and support for some program planning and outreach activities. The Program Technical Support (PTS) team is responsible for independent verification and validation of ITS deliverables (including acceptance testing), technical management support (e.g., capital planning and system change management), and IT program management support. The Contact Center team is responsible for Tier 1/2 user support.
Position Responsibilities:
- Use wireframes, storyboards, process flows and sitemaps to illustrate and present design ideas.
- Collaborate with product managers and engineers to understand the product before presenting solutions to improve the visual and interactive experience.
- Gather user requirements from product managers to create compelling and original graphic designs (images, sketches, etc.).
- Build and design user interface elements like menus, tabs, widgets, page navigation buttons and search fields.
- Troubleshoot any UX problems.
- Present design concepts and ideas to colleagues, executive members, and clients.
- Ensure a standard is maintained when it comes to style, fonts, colors, and images.
- Conduct regular research on user experience.
- After collecting feedback, ensure changes are made to correct any error.
Position Requirement/Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Interaction Design, Computer Science, or any other related field.
- Prior experience with UX/UI design with a strong portfolio to show previous work.
- Excellent knowledge of wireframing tools (Wireframe.cc, InVision, etc)
- Strong experience with creating wireframes, storyboards, user flow, process flow, and sitemaps.
- Excellent knowledge of visual design and wireframing tools like Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Great visual design, time management and multitasking skills.
- Well-read on the new technology and best practices in the market.
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit.
