Mid-Continent Engineering is seeking a Machine Operator. This is a 1st Shift opportunity from 6 am to 4:30 pm- Monday through Thursday.

Summary:
Preform basic operation of CNC Machines.
Responsibilities of a Machine Operator
- This position will be responsible for the operation of the machine. Use tools to perform progressive machining operations on a variety of standardized work, having close tolerances and finish requirements.
- Analyze drawings, sketches, and design data of parts to determine dimension and configuration of cuts, selection of cutting tools, and machine speeds and feed rates.
- Responsible for running and checking first part and in many cases completing production run.
- Revise program to eliminate instruction errors or omissions.
- Observe operation of machine on trial run to prove taped or programmed instructions.
Requirements of a Machine Operator
- Preferred 1 years’ Machining or shop experience
- Must have the ability to operate machines.
- Blueprint Reading and GD&T Knowledge is a plus.
