Machine Operator

Mid-Continent Engineering is seeking a Machine Operator. This is a 1st Shift opportunity from 6 am to 4:30 pm- Monday through Thursday.

Summary:

Preform basic operation of CNC Machines.

Responsibilities of a Machine Operator

• This position will be responsible for the operation of the machine. Use tools to perform progressive machining operations on a variety of standardized work, having close tolerances and finish requirements.
• Analyze drawings, sketches, and design data of parts to determine dimension and configuration of cuts, selection of cutting tools, and machine speeds and feed rates.
• Responsible for running and checking first part and in many cases completing production run.
• Revise program to eliminate instruction errors or omissions.
• Observe operation of machine on trial run to prove taped or programmed instructions.

Requirements of a Machine Operator

• Preferred 1 years’ Machining or shop experience
• Must have the ability to operate machines.
• Blueprint Reading and GD&T Knowledge is a plus.

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour

• High school or equivalent (Required)

• Machining: 1 year (Preferred)
• Blueprint reading: 1 year (Preferred)
• CNC: 1 year (Preferred)
