Job Title: Shop Foreman/Lead Technician
Mid-South Bus Center | Murfreesboro, Tennessee
Salary Range: $55,000 - $78,000 per year (Monthly Bonus)

Mid-South Bus Center, Inc. (MSBC) has an immediate opening for a Shop Foreman. The Shop Foreman is responsible for the overall efficiency and productivity of the service department. He/She will assist the Service Manager in managing the daily operations of the shop and support the service department employees and customers.

Job description:

The Shop Foreman is responsible for leading the service department in the day-to-day activities. Assigns work to technicians according to skill level, provides technical assistance as needed, checks work in progress and inspects completed job for quality control. Mentors other technicians diagnose and repair buses when necessary to boost employee development. Maintains high quality service repairs to minimize comebacks. Ensures buses are repaired in a timely manner to meet delivery obligations. Coordinates with parts department on needed parts for repairs. Works with company trainer to ensure technicians are trained and certified. Keeps shop tools and equipment in operating condition, manages tool and equipment purchases. Keeps repair shop clean and organized on a weekly basis.

Qualifications

*High School diploma or GED equivalent

*5 years or more of recent automotive work experience with heavy duty trucks, buses or in an automotive dealership setting

*Previous experience in lead technician, supervisor, or management position preferred.

*Highly organized

*Proven leadership qualities

*Great communication and documentation skills ( 3 C's )

* Must have the ability to effectively manage technicians

* Must have the ability to prioritize and manage time and service department commitments

Schedule:

· 8-hour shift

· Monday to Friday 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM

· May require staying till 5 PM occasionally

· May require 1 or 2 Saturdays a year

· No on call or Sundays

Experience:

· Management: 2 years (Required)

· Dealership: 2 years (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• Driver's License (Required)
