We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Surgery Scheduler to join our medical team. *Duties*
- Schedule surgical procedures by coordinating with surgeons, patients, and medical staff.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records using electronic medical record systems such as Meditech or Epic.
- Communicate effectively with patients regarding pre-operative instructions and appointment confirmations.
- Utilize phone systems to manage incoming calls and inquiries related to surgery scheduling.
- Ensure all necessary documentation is collected and processed prior to surgery dates.
- Collaborate with medical office management to optimize scheduling processes and improve patient flow.
- Assist in resolving any scheduling conflicts or issues that may arise.
*Requirements*
- Experience in medical scheduling or a related field is preferred.
- Familiarity with electronic health record systems desirable
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; bilingual proficiency is a plus.
- Proficiency in computer systems and software applications relevant to medical office management.
- Ability to work effectively within a team while also being self-motivated.
