What are the responsibilities and job description for the Universal Banker 1 position at MidCountry Bank?
JOB SUMMARY
The primary responsibility of this position is to perform all teller duties, open new accounts and other bank service referrals. The position is also responsible for cultivating customer relationships by cross-selling and promoting MidCountry Bank's products and services in person, or by telephone.
This position will participate in the rotation of the closing shift (9am - 5pm) and Saturday shift (9am - 12pm).
JOB DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Perform Teller Functions
- Process various transactions (deposits, withdrawals, cashing checks, etc.) requested by customers in person, via drive up, or over the phone.
- Assist with branch tasks as assigned by management.
- Balance cash drawers, vault, and ATM.
- Work closely with all bank departments and branch team members to assist and problem solve.
- Complete online compliance courses and attend training as required.
2. Solicit business and provide customer service
- Provide top level service by providing timely and accurate responses to customer and non-customer inquiries.
- Cross sell bank and non-bank products and services through in-person sales and outbound calls.
- Open new deposit accounts efficiently and effectively within bank policies and procedures
- Service and maintain consumer, business, HSA, and IRA accounts.
3. Operational Controls
- Review and verify teller and other operational quality controls within the branch.
- Ensure completion and accuracy of general ledger oversight, maintenance of all logs, and accurate completion of CTR’s. (UB2)
- Complete monthly operational reports and Audits
- Participate in community events representing the bank in a professional manner.
4. Maintain current knowledge of bank products, services and environment
- Educate self where opportunities arise.
- Complete online training and in person training.
- Attend seminars and bank meetings as required.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education-
- Required: High School Diploma or equivalent
- Preferred: 2-year college/tech degree or equivalent or higher
Experience-
- UB 1 preferred: 1 years of banking experience
- UB 1 required: 1 years of cash handling experience.

Salary : $18 - $22
