GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
The Human Resources Generalist is responsible performing a variety of HR activities, including: sourcing and recruiting, employee relations, and onboarding. This position reports to the HR Maager and works closely with all functions of the business.
SPECIFIC DUTIES
- Builds relationships and sources with potential candidates for all needed positions within the Company.
- Recruit, interview, and select the best candidate for open positions.
- Oversees the temporary workforce, including temp payroll.
- Assist with designing job descriptions and establishing minimum requirements.
- Assist with employee relations counseling, outplacement counseling and exit interviewing, when needed.
- Post open positions internally and externally and recruit and select viable candidates.
- Assist with the performance review process, ensuring performance feedback is consistent. Address disciplinary issues as needed.
- Updates the APO Training program as needed to keep the program robust.
- Performs APO Training program as new APO Trainees come on-board.
- Process company warnings, investigations, and employee resolution.
- Perform New Hire Orientation. Ensure all new hire information is entered into the HRIS and Plex.
- Perform terminations when needed, while considering our exposed risk.
- Maintains HR metrics on a monthly basis.
- Works with managers to assist with manpower needs, rightsizing, and downsizing.
- Complete UIA paperwork. Participate in unemployment hearings as needed.
- Oversee teambuilding events and other employee engagement events.
- Perform other recruiting strategies, including job fairs and college career fairs.
- Assists in evaluation of reports, decisions and results of department in relation to established goals. Recommends new approaches, policies and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of the department and services performed.
- Maintains human resource information system records and compiles reports from the database.
- Updates offer letters and other recruiting correspondence for HR.
- Ensures compliance with IATF 16949 and represents HR during audits.
- Maintains compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment.
- Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
- Works in the most efficient manner to meet and exceed all established corporate goals.
- Assists in analyzing and resolving work problems.
