Job Description
The Business Development Liaison will play a key role in supporting the health systems growth and key relationships locally and across the region. The position is responsible for conducting market research, developing new relationships and key contacts, managing existing relationships among business partners and physicians. The individual will support projects and be able to work across various departments within the health system supporting the strategic initiatives, service lines and programs of the health system. The individual must have excellent writing and presentation skills and be a personable and service-minded professional.
SHIFT AND SCHEDULE
Monday - Friday: 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. (May need to occassionally work on weekends/evenings)
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS• Create and execute a business development plan• Identify opportunities and work with colleagues across the health system to maximize development and relational growth• Develop and maintain physician and hospital relations in the community and across the region• Conduct site visits to build relationships and opportunities• Support program/service line expansion across the health system • Actively utilize market information to guide business development efforts, inform strategy and drive growth• Support and execute events and activities that align with the health systems strategic goals• Work alongside the marketing team to create and execute collateral that supports the business development plan• Lead all outbound prospecting• Maintain database and reporting of business development initiatives • Monitor and manage referral chain/patterns to align with health system• Craft creative partnerships with community and physicians
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE• Bachelor’s degree required• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in healthcare• Demonstrated understanding of business development in healthcare• Self-starter with attention to detail• Confident interpersonal skills with a high degree of comfort leading and interacting with diverse groups
