Position Function/Purpose
The Early Childhood Supervisor will provide oversight and support in all elements of early childhood education including academic, social/emotional, and physical areas. This position provides input and support on curriculum, instruction, and assessment.
Major Responsibilities and duties:
1. Provide individual and/or group learning opportunities for teachers and paraprofessionals.
2. Provide support in analyzing and utilizing student assessment data.
3. Assist teachers with instructional decisions based on assessment data.
4. Encourage and advertise ongoing professional development for all teachers.
5. Support Professional Learning Communities by modeling collaborative structures, providing professional resources, compiling and analyzing data, assisting in the design of interventions, and modeling co-teaching best practices.
6. Manage time and maintain flexibility to maximize classroom observations.
7. Remain prepared to go into classrooms to teach or to model for teachers.
8. Provide support for classroom management strategies.
9. Assist teachers with curriculum implementation.
10. Model effective and differentiated instructional strategies.
11. Assist with curriculum alignment.
12. Participate fully in professional development for supervisors, including peer observations, professional research, and reading and inquiry sessions.
13. Ensure student success by observing in classrooms to identify individual needs of students, develop plans with teachers to address needs, provide skills and resources to support the plan, and coordinate with resource personnel as needed.
14. Maintain close contact with campus principals and Special Services staff to support a collaborative approach for addressing the needs of students.
15. Assist with planning for and attend Pre-K recruitment events.

Qualifications
Education/Certification:
- Bachelor’s Degree required
- Early Childhood Certification required
- Minimum of five years successful teaching experience required
- Master’s degree preferred
- ESL Supplemental Certification preferred
