The Construction Equipment Technician Position:
To assist their growing business, Midland Tool is looking to hire a Construction Equipment Technician with good attention to detail for the position. The primary duties of a Construction Equipment Technician include performing daily process check-ins, operate the HI-LO and load/unload materials, inventory management. After proper training and getting settled in, this person will hopefully run diagnostic tests on diesel motors to find faults, analyzing diagnostic test results, etc.
Principal Responsibilities:
- Running diagnostic tests on equipment.
- Analyzing diagnostic test results.
- Inventory management
- Material check-ins
- Replacing engines, steering mechanisms, transmissions and braking systems.
- Checking equipment lighting systems.
- Test driving vehicles to gauge performance.
- Performing preventative maintenance.
- Maintaining detailed records of serviced equipment
- Adhering to an inspection procedure checklist.
- Maintaining a parts inventory.
- Ensuring the cleanliness of the shop.
- Additional duties as assigned
Required Experience and Skills:
- Valid driver's license
- Good computer and diagnostic skills.
- Physically fit and able to lift up to 150 pounds.
- Proficiency with maintenance and repair tools.
- Attention to detail.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Excellent verbal communication skills.
- Good organization skills.
