Our busy multispecialty practice is looking for an HIGHLY EXPERIENCED and EXTREMELY DEDICATED Medical Assistant or LPN to join our team. You will be responsible for providing administrative and clinical support to ensure efficient operation in our fast paced medical office. You will support our providers and patients through a variety of tasks related to patient care management, organization and communication. Accuracy, with high quality and in a timely manner is expected.
Clinical Duties (may include, but not limited to):
- Taking medical histories
- Explaining treatment procedures to patients
- Collecting and preparing laboratory specimens - limite
- Rooming patient's
- Update electronic medical records
- Produce and distribute correspondence memos, letters, faxes and forms
- Prepare and clean treatment rooms
- Preparing and administering medications, including by intramuscular, intradermal, and subcutaneous injections—including vaccinations/immunizations, as directed by a physician or other licensed provider (e.g., a nurse practitioner)
- EKG
- Spirometry's
- FENO
Administrative Duties (may include, but not limited to):
- Using computer applications
- Answering telephones
- Welcoming patients
- Updating patient medical records
- Scheduling appointments
- Handling correspondence
- Proven working experience as a medical assistant
- Knowledge of medical office systems and procedures
- Excellent time management skills, ability to multi-task and prioritize work
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational and planning skills
- MS Office and familiar with electronic health records
- Intergy knowledge a plus
- Detail oriented
Patient Liaison | Medical assistants are instrumental in helping patients feel at ease in the physician’s office and often explain the physician's instructions.
