Professional Lifeguards and Head Lifeguards at Midwest Pool Management have awesome opportunities and tons of fun all across the entire Kansas City Metro! Whether you're guarding a quiet neighborhood pool or one of our major waterparks, MPM has something for everyone! Lifeguards and Head Lifeguards are responsible for ensuring the safety or our patrons, enforcing policies, rules and regulations as well as:
- Recognize and respond effectively in emergency situations
- Enforce policies, rules and regulations
- Participate in regular in-service training
- Keeping pool facilities clean and appealing
- Proactively address patron needs by answering questions, giving directions and other information
- Ensure the safety of patrons
- Issuing lifejackets to patrons
Basic Qualifications
- Must be 15 years of age to work.
- Lifeguards work the summer season Part-Time including days, nights, weekends and holidays.
- Strong observational skills to proactively identify patron needs and ensure safety guidelines are being followed
- Strong verbal communication skills (able to positively engage with patrons, team members and management)
Other Requirements and Preferred Qualifications
- Ability to swim
- Lifeguard training is available and must be successfully completed
