What are the responsibilities and job description for the Security position at Miedema Asset Management?
Summary:
We are looking for a motivated and friendly individuals who will be the first and last point of contact for ever customer that comes into our auction pick up site. This individual needs to give a friendly and warm welcome to all customers, make sure all the items customers are exiting with are fully paid for. Most importantly thank the customers for coming in and invite them back! At this time this is a part-time position and will be the following days; Tuesday’s 9:00 am – 4:00 pm & Saturday’s 9:00 am – 12:00 pm.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Excellent customer service skills
- High school Diploma
- Basic Computer Skills/knowledge
- Valid Driver’s license
- Punctuality and reliability
- Security experience is great but not required
- Approachable and professional attitude
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt
- The ability to stand on feet for upwards of 8hrs a day
- Ability to be outside in all forms of weather conditions.
- Ability to lift 30-50lbs
- Ability to watch a large area to ensure no one is exiting without being checked
- Ability to help customers quickly and efficiently
Essential Job Functions
- Knowing the essentials of how online bidding works and functionality of the auction site.
- Knowledge and understanding of MAMG companies
- Knowledge of how Lot numbers and control numbers work
- Check all items leaving to ensure they match with paid invoice
- Close and lock gate at closing
Typical Duties
- Greet and thank customers, providing them with excellent customer service to keep them coming back.
- Clean up area around guard shack
- Complete other tasks as requested by immediate supervisor
