Deli Server

Mike's Country Store is seeking a part-time Deli Server and cook

POSITION SUMMARY:

Help serve up delicious home-style cooking for breakfast, lunch and/or dinner

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience a plus, but not required if willing to be trained.

Additional Prerequisites:

• Must be able to pass a drug test.
• Strong work ethic.
• Ability to self-start and complete work assignments.
• Flexible in work schedule may vary week to week.
• Lift boxes and equipment up to 60 lbs.

Job Description:

• Follow all store requirements as directed by the Deli Manager.
• Help set up and maintain all displays, including the food trays to ensure deliciousness in deli items to attract customers.
• Maintain familiarity with all products carried in the department.
• Know the ad items, special prices, coupon deals or other features that apply to the store’s sales program.
• Greet customers as you serve them behind the counter, by providing quality personalized service.
• Replenish food items in the display case according to the customer's demand and needs.
• Ensure that deli items are served according to the customers’ tastes and needs.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES:

• Proficient in all kitchen duties, including food prep, set-up and clean-up.
• A positive attitude, willing and able to take direction.
• Ability to read, write, comprehend, and interpret documents.
• Suggestive Selling/Knowledge of Products being sold in the deli.
• A friendly personality that makes customers feel at home.
• Detail Oriented.
