Role Description
We are seeking a full-time, above property Director of Sales & Marketing to oversee a growing sales team and handle the corporate group and business travel segments for our portfolio of 7 hotels. This position would work on site in our corporate office in Biltmore Village and report to the President/CEO.
The primary responsibilities of the Director of Sales & Marketing will include: leading & growing a sales team, prospecting qualified corporate business, responding in a timely manner to inbound leads, managing sales activities in STS/ProposalPath, working closely with Director of Revenue Management to qualify business and maximize revenue, and communicating definite bookings with Hotel Management teams. This role will also handle marketing tasks such as website audits/updates, social media posts, paid advertising, and brand marketing activities.
The successful candidate will be able to achieve sales targets consistently, prospect and contract new business for the corporate segment focusing on midweek business, drive guest satisfaction for group blocks and business travel, have excellent communication and customer service skills, and be able to prioritize workload in a fast paced, high-volume environment.

- Multi-tasking skills to manage multiple hotels and bookings at the same time.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively communicate with Hotel management team, Hotel ownership, and Corporate team.
- Demonstrated customer service skills to ensure that clients receive an excellent experience.
- Successful experience in closing sales to achieve sales targets.
- Good understanding of sales management principles and practices, including sales tracking and reporting.
- Experience with Marriott, Choice, and/or IHG properties and systems is preferred.
