Food & Beverage Admin Assistant-Full-Time
The Lakefront, Anchorage hotel (formerly the Millennium Hotel) is recruiting for full time, Food & Beverage Admin Assistant to join our team. At the Lakefront Anchorage Hotel, we strive to deliver a memorable experience for our guests. Situated on the shores of scenic Lake Spenard, one mile from Anchorage International Airport and four miles from downtown Anchorage, the Lakefront Anchorage Hotel is the perfect starting point to explore the many wonders Alaska has to offer. The Lakefront Anchorage Hotel boasts 248 rooms and three outstanding food and beverage outlets.

The role of the Food & Beverage Admin Assistant is to provide administrative support to the Food & Beverage department.

Typical duties of the Food & Beverage Admin Assistant include:

Assist with payroll administration functions including entering missed punches daily.
Complete banquet service charge spreadsheet and enter into timekeeping system.
Assist with coding invoices, reconciling Micros/credit card transactions and verify void transactions during employees shift.
Maintains regular attendance and is consistently on time.
Maintain and organize F&B files.
Answer and return calls and forward any messages to appropriate parties.
Performs any other duties as requested by supervisor.
Purchase supplies for hotel departments.
Place beverage orders as needed.
Place food orders in the absence of Lead Cooks.
Enter data into purchasing system for approval.
Participates in meetings regarding banquet events.
May assist with banquet events.
Responsible for maintaining cash bank.

The successful applicant will:

High School education
Prefer least one year of experience in the hospitality industry in particular in food and beverage or formal education in hospitality or accounting.
Must be able to remain professional in all guests or employee interactions.
Work as a valuable member of the team by resolving conflicts without blame.
Must be flexible, adaptable and dependable based on the needs of the hotel.
A basic understanding of a POS system, Micros preferred.
Ability to work collaboratively with other departments and leaders to complete property/corporate initiatives and effective day to day operations.
Ability to meet deadlines and effectively manage multiple priorities in a demanding work environment.
Guest attentiveness and a neat appearance
Exceptional customer service skills
Work as a productive team member by contributing positive energy.
Perform the duties of the position in a safe manner.
Familiar with timekeeping systems
Must be computer literate and have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, proficient in Excel is required.
Must be able to obtain a food handlers card and a TAMS card.
