The Inventory Control Clerk is responsible for helping to maintain inventory systems, perform cycle counts and audits and problem identification. They will work with the appropriate people to permanently correct inventory issues to ensure that the correct quantity of product is available to support our reliability goals.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Responsible for the integrity and accuracy of all inventories by performing daily audits and maintaining a comprehensive Cycle Count program.
- Maintain accurate inventory levels through daily and monthly cycle counts and annual year-end physical inventories
- Own the entire life cycle of damaged, misplaced, or missing products from the time the exception is detected to the resolution of the issue.
- Collect bad status items, ticket the items, and then release the items back into the inventory once resolved.
- Track and report daily to upper management building capacity, building utilization, inventory accuracy and cycle count progress.
- Use Warehouse Management Software and Excel to sort through cycle count data.
- Operate Order Picker, Reach Trucks, and other industrial equipment
- Additional job duties as assigned.
- Performs other related duties as requested.
QUALIFICATIONS
- At least 1 year of experience with cycle counts
- At least 6 months cherry picker and reach forklift experience
- Basic to intermediate computer skills including Outlook, Excel and Word.
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Ability to communicate and work well with people of all levels.
- Ability to work well under pressure in fast paced environment.
- Warehouse Management Software and data entry experience.
- Must be able to work on warehouse floor 10 hours a day.
- Education/Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required. Experience with computerized inventory systems required.
- Forklift operator certification preferred.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Good mathematical aptitude, attention to detail, ability to perform accurate error-free work.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of material flow throughout the supply chain.
- Ability to obtain material handling vehicle license.
- Work with a variety of computer programs such as Excel, Business Objects, and Word.
- Must be physically able to handle all incoming materials to facilitate counts.
- Must have demonstrated a sense of urgency and good communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Must be able to perform all essential functions of the position with or without accommodations.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Lift up to 50 - 75lbs consistently
- Lift up to 250lbs occasionally with assistance
