Dock Expeditor

The Duncan M. Stewart associate participates in any improvement that is necessary to achieve a world class working environment.

Total involvement in our program will enable Duncan M. Stewart to produce the best quality product in a safe and efficient manner.

Basic Job Responsibilities :

The Expeditor serves as production support through the proper ticketing and inventory of return yarns as well as material handling including loading and unloading trailers.

He / She follows all prescribed safety procedures and standard work instructions. The Expeditor schedule will be the same as the rest of the dock associates with a rotating first shift that works every other weekend.

Expeditor responsibilities include but are not limited to the following :

Job Skills Needed :

• Commitment to responsibility and integrity of documents and transactions
• Strong people skills working closely with others associates.
• Ticket and ship return yarn to other Milliken Plants utilizing several SAP transactions
• Train to become a backup shipper in their absence
• Demonstrated SAP skills dealing with inventory
• Strong math skills
• Participate in weekly cycle counts and quarterly inventory takes
• Lock-out Tag-out of Trailers
• Completes Utilization forms
• Loads rolls onto trailer
• Transports returnables
• Transport scrap rolls and other recycle-able products
• Load yarn in creel on conveyor belts
• Ability to learn to operate the yard tractor and backup trailers in the yard. (Added pay for this skill)

Requirements :

Must be Fork Lift Certified or be able to become certified.

Must have some working knowledge in SAP

Must be in good standing on Safety Engagement, Attendance, and Performance

Preferred :

Preference will be given first to current material handlers as well as those with SAP knowledge

and demonstrated abilities handling inventory.
