Your Role:

MilliporeSigma is seeking a Scientist to work in our Quality Control and Research and Development lab in. The Quality Control Research and Development lab is a laboratory environment. Activities include all aspects of research, technology development, product development, solution development and testing.

Responsibilities:

• Design and synthesize compounds and materials.
• Employ structure/property relationships, scientific databases, and molecular modelling in multiparameter optimization of compound and material profiles.
• Perform chemical analysis techniques specifically using HPLC, GC, IC, ICP, Karl Fischer, Melting Point, IR, and UV-Vis instrumentation.

• Assist senior staff with advanced chemical analysis techniques.
• Accurately record, review, and report data in a CoA format.
• Assist with production activities as required.
• Work with computer software and hardware, including analytical instruments, spreadsheets, and word processing applications.
• Maintain clean and orderly assigned areas(s).
• Plan and schedule work for the timely completion of projects.
  

Who You Are:

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelors Degree in Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology, or related science discipline with 3 years experience working in a lab setting. OR -
• Masters Degree in Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology, or related science
  

Preferred Qualifications:

• Laboratory experience
• Analytical chemistry
• Strong computer skills
• Chemical analysis techniques specifically using HPLC, GC, IC, ICP, Karl Fischer, Melting Point, IR, and UV-Vis instrumentation.
• Experience with Microsoft Office
