What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mechanical Drafter position at Mills Machine II, Inc.?
Mills Machine II, Inc. is looking for an individual to add to their team! An additional position is currently available for a mechanical draftsman to create technical & mechanical drawings. Technical schooling in the area of drafting is preferred, especially a background in SOLIDWORKS, however related experience may be substituted for formal education.
PRIMARY DUTIES:
- Responsible for producing CAD and other technical drawings for product design.
- Prepare design sketches, layouts and schematics as part of a design team.
- Prepare preliminary and detailed design drawings using DraftSight and SOLIDWORKS.
- Conducts specialty projects and performs other related duties as assigned by management, or to fulfill the “Primary Function” of the job.
- Create and modify drawings.
- Assist in developing timely solutions to problems.
- Communicate effectively with internal staff; in person, through sketches and in writing.
- Demonstrate a professional attitude.
- Assist in the creation of Illustrated Parts Lists and Operator's Manuals.
- Client communication.
Prior experience preferred, but not required.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
