About the position


Mimecast is looking for a Principal Product Manager to create innovative threat detection solutions. You will collaborate with Mimecast's data scientists to develop new products and features, applying cutting-edge technology and techniques. You will be a catalyst for change and your work will ensure Mimecast remains a leader in the detection of communication based threats and that our customers' business communication channels are safe. This exciting role is ideal for a results-orientated Product Manager looking for a high-impact position with the flexibility to innovate and express your entrepreneurial talents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the definition, execution and delivery of projects which use Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning to improve threat detection capabilities within our core products.
  • Perform competitive analysis of the cybersecurity market, stay up to date with the latest developments in applied data science and maintain awareness of trends in the threat landscape.
  • Source and analyse data from internal and external sources to identify and prioritise roadmap candidates. Maintain a prioritized backlog, continuously reassessing based on feedback from internal stakeholders and customers.
  • Define and own the roadmap for your area, sharing the vision, setting product goals, defining success metrics and clear requirements.
  • Work closely with Engineering and User Experience to design and develop effective products and features.
  • Create internal and public facing technical documentation and collaborate with Product Marketing to create enablement content for Sales and Partners.
  • Define success criteria for new products and features, implementing monitoring strategies post-release.
  • Engaging regularly with customers and prospects to present the Product roadmap and gather feedback for research.
  • Working with the Project Management team to manage and communicate sprint level plans and identify and mitigate project delivery risks.

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • 7 years of demonstrated experience in Product Management, preferably within the cybersecurity industry.
  • Advanced subject matter expertise in cybersecurity (data science desirable).
  • Strong knowledge and experience of Agile development methods.
  • Excellent communication skills.
