Responsibilities
Perform dimensional inspections on parts and tools utilizing advanced 3D measurement systems, such as laser trackers, PCMM Arms, and other related metrology equipment.
Accurately and consistently capture data for all features to be measured.
Analyze data in Spatial Analyzer, Verisurf, Polyworks, or other related metrology software and understand what the data indicates.
Create inspection templates/programs for use on projects.
Create report templates.
Report out data using the appropriate report template.
Maintain professionalism at all times, be friendly and engage with the client as a representative of the entire company.
Metrology Technician must be able to troubleshoot any potential issues while remaining calm and focused and will ask for team assistance as needed.
Ability to handle different types of metrology techniques such as Tooling Setup, Tooling PTI, Final Inspection, Stock Checks, and Metrology Assembly.
Work efficiently solo or as part of a team.
Complete project independently with minimal to no questions.
Communicate frequently with the larger metrology team.
Teach Level 1 metrology technicians.
Ability to troubleshoot metrology equipment such as Laser trackers and PCMM arms.
Ability to perform field calibrations of metrology equipment.
Metrology Technician must be able to properly care for fragile, expensive measurement equipment.
Qualifications
3 years of laser tracker experience (API, Faro, Leica).
3 years of Spatial Analyzer, Verisurf, Polyworks, or other related metrology software experience.
Read and interpret blueprints.
Full understanding of GD&T.
Required experience with dimensional inspection and analysis
Requirements
Must be able to commute to Mount Vernon, WA, or be willing to relocate.
Must be willing to travel for several weeks at a time to jobsites.
Must be a US citizen to apply.
