MINNA is seeking a Retail Manager with an entrepreneurial spirit, who will take ownership of the storefront, and is solutions oriented with a can-do attitude. The Retail Manager ensures the Hudson storefront budgets are achieved and daily operations of the business and client services are running smoothly. Able to demonstrate leadership skills in respect to guiding sales associates, driving sales and delivering excellent customer service. They will lead hosting events that engage our local community and curate third-party product that complements our in-house line. *NOTE: This role includes a base salary (listed above) plus commission opportunities.

Key Responsibilities
Sales & Retail Team Management
- Ensure the retail team is meeting or exceeding sales goals by practicing excellent customer service, creating and refining sales strategies, and ensuring the retail associates are trained accordingly.
- Create a daily/weekly breakdown of goals to meet company’s monthly sales goals by running weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reports on storefront and online sales
- Monitor, track, and provide insight on trends and opportunities of key business metrics and share weekly.
- Work 1-on-1 with sales associates offering support and feedback. Lead monthly retail team meetings to review new products, operations updates, and trainings, etc.
Storefront Management
- Maintain the storefront, ensuring the store is always in presentable order as standardized in the operations manual. This includes managing the storefront till and petty cash and reconciling a weekly bank drop.
- Oversee all aspects of inventory maintenance and merchandising presenting new products, and store design decisions.
- Strategize and coordinate seasonal hours of operation staffing budget.
- Support retail projects and plan special quarterly in-store events.
Customer Service
- Offer and lead the delivery of excellent customer service to all MINNA shoppers.
- Respond to customer communications regarding product questions, returns, exchanges, quality control, anything / everything that comes through the help inbox. Collaborate with Fulfillment Inventory Coordinator to find solutions for customer services issues
- Guide customers through custom orders, coordinating with the Design Team to deliver mock-ups, and custom quotes.
- Track local and repeat customers in a clientele document, noting any specific memorable interactions.
Product & Merchandising
- Coordinate product / trend forecasting as it relates to budgeting purchasing. Develop and submit a buying strategy at the beginning of each quarter and follow a budget to keep store inventory fresh.
- Manage the product lifecycle for all third-party product.
- Run reports as needed on non-MINNA vendor and product category performance for both the storefront and online to inform decisions for growth change related to third-party product vendors.
- Annually audit products and brands we carry to ensure they meet brand standards and that our vendors and products we carry diverse and inclusive across all product categories
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- 3-5 years of retail management in a luxury goods setting
- Proficiency with google suite and sales reporting
- Interest in home goods, textiles, design, and/or art
- A passion for offering excellent customer service
- Ability to communicate clearly and warmly
- Strong collaboration and leadership skills
- Ability to multitask
- Weekend Holiday availability
- Understanding and ease of using gender-inclusive language

Physical Demands
Occasionally lifting boxes around 10-30 lbs.
Ability to spend 6-8 hours daily on your feet with customers.
